A celebration of Read Across America Week was kicked off with style at the Van Holten Primary School.
To prepare for Read Across America Week, March 3-7, which is observed throughout the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and the entire country, Van Holten held an assembly on Monday morning, March 3, under the guidance of its dedicated Library Media Specialist, Meghan Kipila.
The assembly was launched with a parade of students dressed up as book characters, a school-wide sing-along of The Library Song, and 3rd Graders reading updates about the upcoming spirit days.
The school-wide assembly ended with a premier showing of the annual Van Holten Read Across America video, which starred many Van Holten staff members.
