Jim Schmale, a Physical education Teacher, and Staci Aguanno, a School Counselor, are the recipients of the prestigious Governor's Award for 2024-2025 at the Van Holten Primary School.
Mr. Schmale is the winner of the Governor's Educator of the Year Award and Ms. Aguanno is the honoree of the Governor's Educational Services Professional Award.
Two staff members received these awards at each of the 11 schools in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District.
A ceremony will be held this spring to honor all 22 of the recipients. They will also be recognized at a Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education meeting this winter.
