According to the Directors of Roots & Shoots, Hillside Teachers Kiran Masud and Sean Smith, about 20 students and family members volunteered their time to help care for our outdoor learning spaces. Together, they cleaned out the old shed, mulched the trails, weeded garden areas, and completed general clean-up projects around the school grounds.
“Their hard work and teamwork helped improve the meadows and trails while supporting our club’s mission of caring for people, animals, and the environment,” said Ms. Madud and Mr. Smith.
