wide range of creative exhibits were on display when the Hillside Intermediate School held its STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Expo on the evening of Thursday, April 23.
The Hillside gymnasium was filled with 63 student-crafted projects and was the site of a large turnout of curious guests.
Carmelina Geiger, Hillside’s 5th Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies Teacher, was the dedicated director of this popular exhibition.
“ From robotic hands to elephant toothpaste and even a tsunami simulator, the range of ideas was impressive,” Ms. Geiger said. “The creativity and innovation demonstrated by the students were truly outstanding.”
