Gita Varadajan, a highly acclaimed children’s book author, spoke about how powerful words can be when she visited the students and staff at the Hillside Intermediate School on Monday, March 31.
Ms. Varadajan’s featured books include Save Me a Seat which was written with Sarah Weeks, My Bindi and My Sarree.
She has worked with children all over the world, and now teaches second grade in Princeton,
Her message during the assemblies at Hillside was loud and clear—” Writing can change the world.”
'Write from your perspectives and your author’s voice,’ she said. “You can change the world with writing.”
