A chicken coop was located in a classroom at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
Well, not the entire structure, but an area in Jennifer Johnson's classroom was devoted to the growth of baby chickens.
“In our classroom, we raised chicks to help students experience the life cycle of a chicken up close,” Ms. Johnson, a Middle School Science Teacher, reported.
She explained the chick-hatching project.
“It’s a hands-on, memorable way for them to learn about animal development, responsibility, and the needs of living things, all while building curiosity and care for the world around them. The chicks brought so much joy and excitement to our classroom for both students and teachers.”
After a few weeks, these newborn residents were picked up for delivery on Friday, June 13, and were heading to their new home in Pennsylvania.
