Hillside community hits the court to enjoy PTO Faculty Basketball Game

The Hillside Intermediate School community held court on Wednesday evening, November 16.

They convened on the court—a basketball court that is.

The school's gymnasium was the setting when Hillside held its Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Faculty Basketball Game.

A crowd of staff, students and families packed into  the Hillside gym to enjoy a game between the teachers while the scholars showed off their skills with various shooting competitions.

One of the fans in attendance, Hillside Principal Dr. Tali Axelrod, summed up the attitude of the entire fun evening.

“Our PTO Faculty Basketball Game was a huge success thanks to our PTO volunteers, teachers and parents,” Dr.. Axelrod reported. “The games were exciting and fun and our students even got in on the game in their own competition.”

The school's terrific chorus program delivered a sound rendition of the National Anthem.

The atmosphere throughout the gym was just another example of what is the result when the PTO and the school join forces.

Just a few weeks ago on October 27, they worked together to sponsor another spirited event, the Trunk or Treat Halloween celebration.

“The game was a fabulous Hillside community event. Thank you to our teachers and to our PTO,” Dr. Axelrod declared.
