Work Hard & Be Kind!
October 6, 2021
Dear Hillside Families,
All Hillside students are invited to join our Roots & Shoots Programs. Because Roots & Shoots is our school theme there are many different ways for you and your child to become involved, both within and out of the school day. Please click on this link for more information.
Fall MAP testing begins on October 19, 2021. Please see the attached letter from Mr. David Matonis, Supervisor of Special Programs and District Test Coordinator.
Red Ribbon Week begins on Monday, October 25, 2021. This week is a national campaign dedicated to educating youth to stay away from drugs. Please see the attached for further information on student activities that week.
To celebrate Halloween, students may wear their costumes on Friday, October 29th. Parental discretion should be exercised as to the costumes being worn. Costumes should be comfortable and appropriate for this age group. The students may not wear facemasks. Guns, knives, pitchforks, swords, and any other facsimile weapons are not appropriate.
We are pleased to announce that registration has begun for our successful chorus program. The preferred method of registration can be made by using this ONLINE FORM. Paper registration is also available in our chorus rooms or for download from Mr. Sgro's website.
Please consider an optional Chorus or Orchestra T-shirt. Students can wear their chorus T-shirt for the performances, Hillside spiritwear or any green shirt. The T-shirt sale is sponsored by our Hillside PTO. Here is a link to the online store.
